About the Current Fund-Raising Project
The NEW Zoo is and has always been an affordable destination for families to gather and receive a greater appreciation of the living world through education, conservation, and recreation. In 2009, 270,000 visitors passed through the zoo gates.
The N.E.W. Zoological Society, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization whose sole purpose is to provide financial support to the NEW Zoo, is requesting your financial support. We have been and will be raising funds for a new Education & Conservation Center until we achieve our goal. The cost of the project is $1,200,000.00. To date the society has raised approximately $500,000.00 for this building. Our goal is to raise the remaining $700,000.00 in the next year.
