Our Exciting Future
The NEW Zoo is one of only seven AZA accredited zoos in the country that does not receive local or regional tax support for the zoo’s annual operating budget. Progress continues on the exciting journey of implementing the Master Plan for the NEW Zoo.
The spectacular Giraffe Encounter is now complete and boasts and interactive outdoor feeding platform for an experience you’ll never forget! The Giraffe Discovery Center building offers education exhibits, as well as indoor feeding opportunities during inclement weather. And, don’t forget to stop by our newly renovated North American Aviary Exhibit-complete with the native waterfowl and our majestic bald eagle.
Our Endangered Species Carousel is fast becoming a favorite among Zoo visitors as is our beautiful new KC Stock Safari Train-the best way to enjoy a leisurely tour of the entire facility!
Fundraising efforts have begun for a new Giant Tortoise Exhibit and a Great Japanese Snow Macaque Exhibit as well! Now, more than ever, we need Extraordinary friends, members, donors, visitors and all of Northeastern Wisconsin to take ownership in the new Zoo’s success!
