N.E.W. Zoological Society Announces Official Opening of New Macaque Exhibit
The N.E.W. Zoological Society is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the New Macaque (snow monkey) Exhibit at the NEW Zoo in Suamico on September 16th at 9:00 am.
The Macaque exhibit is made possible by a generous donation from the Elsie Jenquine Estate.
The new monkey house is much larger and provides a new tunnel and living space for the Macaques. In the wild, snow monkeys live in the mountains and hills of Japan. They are recognized by their red face and thick coat. They can live up to 30 years of age in captivity. The Macaques are social animals. They are expressive creatures because of their complex communication process which uses hand signals, body posturing and vocalizations.
The official opening ceremony is open to public with general admission.

Tune in every Wednesday on WLUK FOX 11 for the Good Day Wisconsin morning show. Watch Neil Anderson live from the NEW Zoo for informative segments from 6 to 9 a.m
