New Animals at the NEW Zoo
Cougar “BB”
BB, a 7 year old female cougar, came to the NEW Zoo from the Charlestowne Landing Animal Forest in South Carolina. The zoo in South Carolina had rescued BB and another cat from a “backyard breeder” in Georgia where they had been living in a small, muddy enclosure. Now, BB roams happily amid the rocks, grass and trees in our beautiful Wisconsin Trails portion of the Zoo. Be certain to stop by and say “hello” to her as she is a cat who loves attention and will frequently answer!
Snow Leopard “Buster”
Buster, a 5 year old male snow leopard joined the NEW Zoo last week hailing from Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, Michigan. Buster is absolutely beautiful and is looking forward to our colder weather.
Prong Horn “Sundance” and “Medora”
This brother and sister duo came to us from the Great Plains Zoo in South Dakota. Sundance and Medora can be seen intermingling with the bison and elk in our gorgeous Prairie Grassland Exhibit.
African Penguin “Fat Tony” from Jersey
Tony is considered a “mail order groom” for our female African Penguin, Bobbi. The two have quickly fallen in love with Tony-another successful match courtesy of the AZA’s Species Survival Program. We are optimistic that Fat Tony and Bobbi will welcome little ones in the near future.

Tune in every Wednesday on WLUK FOX 11 for the Good Day Wisconsin morning show. Watch Neil Anderson live from the NEW Zoo for informative segments from 6 to 9 a.m
