Introducing Zoo Camp
The NEW Zoo is pleased to announce its first-ever Summer Zoo Camp Program, to be held this July 26th through July 29th. Children who participate are sure to have a WILD time! This season’s program will serve as a precursor to what zoo staff members hope will be a much larger Summer Camp experience in the future, after the zoo’s new Education Building is completed.
The 2011 Summer Zoo Camp program will begin at 8:30am and end at 1:00pm each day. Children must be registered to attend the day that corresponds to their age group. A morning snack will be provided by the zoo, but parents should provide a non-microwaveable, non-refrigerated lunch for each child. Each day’s program will include educational presentations, live animal encounters, special behind-the-scenes tours or exhibit chats, and other fun activities like games and crafts. Children should dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
The cost per day is $30 for Zoo Pass members or $35 for non-Zoo Pass members.
Pre-registration is required and a limited number of spaces are available for each day session.
To register, or for more information, contact the NEW Zoo Education Department.
