It’s confirmed! The Easter Bunny will be live and in person at the NEW Zoo on Saturday, April 7th for our annual Easter “EggStravaganZoo” Event! The fun-filled day will be kicked off with our famous Pancake and Porkie Breakfast to be followed by a huge Easter egg hunt throughout the Zoo.
The NEW Zoo is excited to announce extended spring operational hours for April and May! Beginning Sunday, April 1st zoo visitors will be able to enjoy their stay a bit longer as we embark upon our spring daily hours: 9AM to 6PM.

Winnie, a 7 year old, 272 lb black bear comes to the NEW Zoo from the Niabi Zoo in Illinois. She arrived here on Friday, July 8th and ventured into the exhibit yard for the first time on Tuesday.

Matilda the moose will be celebrating her first birthday on May 21 in her new exhibit at the NEW Zoo. The young moose arrived here from the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck, North Dakota this past winter.
While children were searching for eggs during the Eggstravaganzoo Easter event at the NEW Zoo on the morning of April 23rd, Zookeepers found a surprise of their own – an unexpected baby monkey!

Masamba and Mandisa are approaching their 3rd month of life and are becoming much more independent. Previously, the Animal Hospital had provided the perfect spot for visitors to get a good look at the cubs.
The N.E.W. Zoological Society is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the New Macaque (snow monkey) Exhibit at the NEW Zoo in Suamico on September 16th at 9:00 am.
Etana’s little cubs are strong, healthy and growing fast! The cubs (one boy and one girl) are being bottle raised and seem very well adjusted and happy. They first began play wrestling with each other on their 2 week birthday. Distinct personalities are starting to emerge and the little girl is reminding us more of her mother every day.

The NEW Zoo is excited to announce that a lion and lioness (costumed representatives of the Zoo, of course!) will be in attendance at the Brown County Tavern League’s annual dinner to accept a generous check from the Tavern League on behalf of the NEW Zoological Society.
The dinner will be held on Monday, February 19th at 7:00pm at the Swan Club, 875 Heritage Rd., DePere, WI.
