Making a Reservation

• For Group Trips without Zoo Classes, you do not need to make a reservation, though we do recommend it. You must make a reservation if you plan to purchase ‘Zoo Lunches’ or rent a tent. See below for details.
• To add a Zoo Class or Tour to your Group Trip, call 920.434.7841 ex 102.

After making your reservation, a confirmation invoice will be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to you within 5-7 business days. Please have a copy of this confirmation on the day of your visit.

Zoo Class and Tour Information

From story time to live animal encounters, the NEW Zoo makes teaching easier for you by offering these special classes during your field trip! All of our “edZOOcation” classes meet Wisconsin state standards.

• $2.00 per person (in addition to gate admission)
• Minimum of $20 per program (in addition to gate admission)

Classes are 30 minutes long for PreK/K students
Classes are 45 minutes long for all other age groups

Zoo Class Times

Zoo Classes can be scheduled throughout the school year at the following times:

•  9:30 AM
• 10:30 AM
• 11:30 AM
•  1:00 PM

Zoo Tours can be scheduled at additional times, depending on Docent availability.

Deposits and Payments

To hold your program reservation, a small deposit is required. Final payment is due one week prior to your program date. Deposits and payments can be made by cash, credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or check. Cash payments can be dropped off at the Zoo’s Visitor’s Center; credit card payments will be taken over the phone; checks* must be mailed to the following address:

Arrivals

Please have one representative from your party report to the Visitor’s Center where an admissions staff person will greet him or her. All other participants should wait in organized lines outside of the Visitor’s Center ensuring that other guests can still access the main entrance doors. The representative should count his/her party and proceed inside to confirm the group numbers and make final payments.

Group Trip payments can be made by check, cash, or credit card (visa or mastercard).

After your payment had been made, the entire group, in organized lines, will walk through Visitor’s Center to enter the Zoo. The group will be counted by the admission staff as they pass the admission booth to ensure correct payment has been made. There must be one adult chaperone at the end of the line in case the admission staff needs to correct the group total number.

If you have a scheduled Zoo Class or Tour, your Educator or Docent will meet your group at the picnic tables to the left of the carousel ten minutes before your program time to escort you to your designated program site.

Rainy Day/Severe Weather

Please check the weather before you depart for the NEW Zoo. The zoo is an outdoor facility and there are no refunds once you have entered the zoo. If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us to reschedule your visit.

Bus Parking

Bus parking is available ONLY in the upper lot located at the top of the hill next to the zoo. The bus may use the main parking lot across the street from the zoo only for the drop off or pick up of group passengers.

Carousel and Train Rides

The carousel ride is $1.00 per person per ride and the train ride is $2.00 per person per ride. Tickets can be purchased in the visitor's center at the admissions booth at any time during your visit.

Picnic Areas

No carry-in items are allowed into the zoo. Picnic tables are available on a first come first serve basis and are located across the street from the zoo in the park. The zoo cannot provide storage for lunches during your visit. Each student will need a hand stamp from the admissions staff if your group is returning to the zoo after lunch.

Lunch at the Zoo

Zoo lunches can be ordered for any group size but must be ordered at least one week before your arrival date. Each Zoo lunch consists of a hot dog, bag of chips, and a soda. Zoo lunches are $3.50 per lunch and must be pre-registered with your group's reservation. Zoo lunches can not be returned for any reason.

Tent Rental

The tent is a 20X30 foot white tent complete with 10 cathedral windows and 4 sides. Picnic tables are provided for seating under the tent. Food and drink carry-ins are allowed with the tent rental or the zoo can carter with a full menu or zoo lunches. The tent rental cost is $200.00 for a full day ($150 for special events area and $50 for tent). The special events area can be rented alone for $150. Partial day rental is not available. Zoo Souvenirs

The gift shop is located in the visitor's center. There must be a 1:4 ratio of adult chaperones to children from your group when inside the gift store at all times.
