The new Giraffe Discovery Center offers educational exhibits as well as indoor feeding opportunities. This is your chance to interact up close and personal with the Zoo's giraffe couple-Hodari and Zuri.
Giraffe Feeding Times
April 1st - October 31st: 10am-1pm, 2:30pm-4:15pm
November 1st - March 31st: 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm
Inside and Outside The outdoor feeding platform allows visitors an up-close visit with the giraffe pair. The Giraffe Exhibit Building made possible by many generous donations, also allows Zoo guests to visit with the giraffes, even on the coldest winter days. The building also houses the Giraffe Discovery Center, complete with authentic African artifacts and giraffe-related educational displays. Your chance to feed the giraffes. Purchase a rye cracker or two from one of our volunteers and experience a feeling you will remember for a lifetime! Yes, at the NEW Zoo you can hand feed the giraffes all year.
