Starting January 1st, 2012, a few changes will occur to the NEW Zoo’s admission rates and operating hours.
Welcome ‘Winnie’ the Bear
Winnie, a 7 year old, 272 lb black bear comes to the NEW Zoo from the Niabi Zoo in Illinois. She arrived here on Friday, July 8th and ventured into the exhibit yard for the first time on Tuesday.
Female Moose, Matilda, Now on Exhibit
Matilda the moose will be celebrating her first birthday on May 21 in her new exhibit at the NEW Zoo. The young moose arrived here from the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck, North Dakota this past winter.
Unexpected Baby Snow Monkey
While children were searching for eggs during the Eggstravaganzoo Easter event at the NEW Zoo on the morning of April 23rd, Zookeepers found a surprise of their own – an unexpected baby monkey!
